About puertoricoday

Updated October 8, 2026 A date beside every number; the source behind each

Puerto Rico plans change with the day. Your beach choice and the night you see the water glow depend on the conditions. Tour details show what's included; the forts' gate fees tell you what a visit costs.

What this site is

The island's geography stays the same. Your plans change with the weather and the moon. The San Juan airport report supplies the weather readings, and the moon times are calculated for San Juan. This site helps you choose what fits the days you're here.

The full catalog has 1,050 listings read one by one. Of those, 311 meet the review bar. The tour selection keeps 277 in 12 lists. Read how the selection works in How we choose.

What this site is not

  • This isn't a booking site. You book on the booking platform at its price. A booking through a tour button earns this site a commission; you pay the same, as explained in the disclosure.
  • Places in the lists aren't for sale. The bar is 4.5 stars and 30 reviews from the booking platform and Tripadvisor together. Your choice still depends on what fits your plans.
  • This isn't a tourist board. Costs left out of a tour matter to your budget. The site also says when a day trip isn't worth your time.

Where the numbers come from

Fort fees and hours Fort fees and hours come from the National Park Service. Admission costs $10 per person and covers both forts for 24 hours. Ages 15 and under enter free. The forts open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
El Yunque access El Yunque access rules come from the U.S. Forest Service. You don't need a reservation for the PR-191 corridor, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry still depends on available parking space.
Ferry fares Ferry fares come from the operator's fares page. The listed passenger prices are one way and set by age group. A cooler needs its own ticket.
Tour prices and ratings The catalog is read one listing at a time. Starting prices are reread for the exact option every 2 weeks with the lists. You'll see whether the price is per person or group. Ratings come from the booking platform and Tripadvisor, with dates beside them.
Beach distances and facilities The beach pages cover twelve beaches. Mainland distances are measured along OpenStreetMap roads from the Old San Juan piers. Facilities come from the sources named on each page. Ferries and boats add a separate leg to your island trip.
Photos and credits Freely licensed photos carry an author credit and license on the photo credits page. Tour photos come from the operators' listings. Use the credits to trace the image's source.
